What Does It Mean

Tailored For Icons

Dear Icons,

Welcome to our family of Icons. My name is Chidi Amadi-Ahaneku, and I am the CEO and Founder of ICON-0-CLASS (Pronounced ICONOCLAST). As the founder, I found (I hope you got the joke) that the secret to living a fulfilling and impactful life is understanding the value of standing out. Not only understanding it but embracing it. I decided to build a business based on this principle—a platform where being yourself and dreaming big is not weird or shunned, but a place where our wildest dreams can flourish. I searched for a platform that validated my uniqueness, where my dreams were not daunting but embraced with open arms, and where I was supported to achieve them through motivation, guidance, and support. So, I created ICON-0-CLASS.

Our name is derived from "Iconoclast," which comes from the Greek word "eikonoklastēs," translating literally as “image destroyer.” In modern use, an iconoclast is someone who criticizes or opposes widely accepted beliefs and practices. At ICON-0-CLASS, we believe in challenging the status quo, driving progress, and disrupting industries. Our values of innovation, progress, and disruption are at the core of everything we do, serving as the foundation of our newsletter content.

Why am I telling you all of this? Have you ever thought about how your life would be if you decided to go against your comfort zone? I have experienced immense beauty and bliss in stepping outside of my comfort zone. But before I could do that, I had to understand why I preferred comfort over growth. It's not just about comfort; it's about success. Fear of success often holds us back. We find comfort in ignorance, avoiding facing ourselves truthfully, and acknowledging how we've undervalued ourselves for years, hindering our progress.

Moreover, we fear failure because of the mere possibility of it. Isn't it ironic that the odds of success and failure are equal (both 50%), yet we often believe in the possibility of failure more than success? Many of us remain stagnant out of fear, yet in the long run, those who embrace failure have a higher chance of success than those who remain stagnant.

This week, I invite you to reflect on your own reasons for choosing comfort over growth. Let's question the beliefs we've always held about ourselves. If you've always thought you're “not a morning person” or “not someone who believes in working out,” challenge yourself to understand why. Being ICON-0-CLASS means not only challenging the world's norms but also challenging your own limiting beliefs.

As we embark on this journey of self-discovery and growth together, remember that our mentorship program offers a supportive community where you can further explore and embrace your iconoclastic potential. Join us in disrupting the ordinary and shaping a future where individuality thrives.

Stay Iconic,

Chidi Amadi-Ahaneku: CEO and Founder, ICON-0-CLASS
